1. Foot sensor switch: Generally, hospital airtight automatic doors are equipped with this. To open the door, simply place your foot under the foot sensor. When using this switch, be careful to ensure it is waterproof and avoid pressing too hard. This method is often used in operating rooms, as they are primarily used for emergency treatment, so time is of the essence and the door opening method should be as convenient as possible.
2. Hand sensor switch: This type of switch can be divided into two types: contact-activated and sensor-activated. Contact-activated switches require contact with the switch to open the door, while sensor-activated switches require only proximity to the switch. The advantage of sensor-activated switches over contact and push-button switches is that they open the door faster and eliminate the need to touch the switch, thus preventing cross-contamination.
3. Infrared sensor: When a person enters the infrared sensor area, the door automatically opens. This method can also detect a person's path. If a person passes through the sensing area, the door won't open. However, this method is not used in some hospital settings, such as operating rooms, as infrared sensors can easily cause accidental opening.
4. Door handle: This requires manual push and pull to open the door. This is also a feature of hospital airtight automatic door installations. It can be used as an emergency door opening method during power outages.
